Are you a parent beginning to have some concerns about your child, but not sure whether it's typical development or "something else?"

Did you know?

  • Scientific research shows that the brain's neuroplasticity provides us with the ability to create new neural pathways.
  • This evidence demonstrates that people of all ages can develop new and improved skills in regulating feelings and behaviors that have long lasting benefits.
  • The earlier a person creates new brain connections and develops these skills the more effective he or she will be at managing stress and developing healthy relationships.

Do you want to learn how to make positive changes?

Some behaviors you may want to consult a child psychologist about:

A) If your preschooler doesn't seem to enjoy playing, has severe tantrums, has a poor appetite, or is excessively clingy.

B) If your 5-12 year old doesn't seem to care or has lost confidence, has physical complaints without a medical cause, has difficulty concentrating, is "grumpy," and has lost interest in fun activities.

C) If your teenager is isolated, has a "bad attitude," worries about peers and sports, demonstrates significant changes in sleep and eating patterns, and is engaging in risky behaviors.

Exploring these behaviors may put your mind at rest and help your child get back on track to healthy development.

Remember the research shows the earlier the better!
